OSCE MG holds evaluation mission

The OSCE Minsk Group consisting of Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA) and Igor Popov (Russia) has held a scheduled field mission to evaluate the occupied territories around Nagorno-Karabakh, the OSCE website says. The mission was held on October 7-13, 2010, Trend reports. The mission conditions were discussed by the sides to the conflict.


The mission was carried out by the personal representative of the OSCE chairman Andrzej Kasprzyk and his assistants. Three technical experts took part, including two from the UN Supreme Commissioner for Refugees.


The co-chairs met on October 6 with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, to provide full information about the mission and present the group that will assist it. A similar meeting was held on October 7 in Hankendi.


UN Supreme Commissioner for Refugees experts gave a better picture of the refugees’ rights, within the framework of humanitarian program, and their living conditions.
