Over 600 passengers have used direct charter flights organized by the
Georgian air company Airzena - Georgian Airways, RIA Novosti reports,
citing Nino Giorgobiani, head of PR services of the company.
Direct flights between Tbilisi and Moscow are organized according to
an agreement with Russia, due to the religious holiday of Easter,
celebrated on 4th April. Russia's Ministry of Transport allowed direct
charter flights on 1st, 2nd, 3rd April and 10th,12th and 14th April.
The flights between Tbilisi and Moscow are carried out by a
Boeing-737, carrying up to 120 passengers.
"Since 1st April, 615 people have used the Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi
charter flights, 380 of them flying from Moscow and 235 flying from
Tbilisi", - Giorgobiani reports, noting that those are figures from
the first 4 days - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 10th April. The final number of
passengers will be known after the last charter flight on April 14th.
