Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide 518 million dollars to Azerbaijan for the development of energy and transport infrastructure. This is stated in a message ADB posted on the website of the bank. The funds will be allocated under the business plan for operations in Azerbaijan in 2015-2017, respectively.
Thus, in 2015-2016, ADB will finance "a project for the development of power distribution" in Azerbaijan, for the realization of which 332 million dollars will be allocated, of which 250 million dollars will come from the ADB loan, and the rest - at the government of Azerbaijan's expense, Trend reports.
In 2016-2017, Azerbaijan and ADB will implement "a project for the development of renewable energy" in the field of energy, for which 53 million dollars will be allocated. Most of the funds (40 million) will be from the ADB loan. In the years 2015-2017 Azerbaijan and ADB will implement the third "Project for the development of the road transport network" in the transport sector, for the realization of which 133 million dollars will be allocated, 100 million dollars of which will come from the ADB loan, and the rest - at the expense of the Azerbaijani government.
