The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported today that the intensity of the bombing of the Yemeni city of Aden by the "Arab coalition" has increased significantly.
Food stocks in the city have almost run out, there have been cases of looting and kidnapping. "The escalation of the conflict in Aden has continued. The intensity of the air strikes has increased considerably. There are still reports about fierce fighting in residential neighborhoods, military operations are covering entirely new territory," TASS reports, referring to an OCHA report.
According to UN information, in the last day at least seven civilians were killed as a result of air strikes in the provinces of (governorates) Al Jawf and Sana'a. In total, since the beginning of the bombing (since March 26) more than 300 people have been killed in Yemen.
