Bordyuzha: CSTO to consider request of any country

Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolai Bordyuzha said that China, Iran and several other countries have an interest in cooperation with the CSTO.

"The CSTO is ready to consider the application of any countr,  be it Pakistan, Iran, China, Azerbaijan or Georgia. However, the decisive factor for us is the realization of such a decision. It should not just be a political move, but a thoughtful decision," the Secretary General of the organization concluded.

The CSTO, established in 1992, is comprised of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Uzbekistan's membership was suspended in 2012.
