The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Security Council, Vitaly Churkin, said, commenting on the resolution on Yemen passed today, that the “constructive proposals” of Moscow were ignored, TASS reports.In his words, Russia was insisting on a ban on shipment of weapons to all sides of the Yemeni conflict. Churkin said that the resolution should not act as a tool for further escalation of the conflict. He emphasized that the “sanctions component” of the resolution was “inadequate”.
