The North Caucasus District Military Court will hold closed-door preliminary hearings on the case of Makhachkala ex-Mayor Sayid Amirov at 10.00am on April 28, according to the Spokeswoman of the Court, Alena Katkalo, RIA Novosti reports.The main suspects are Sayid Amirov, Murad Aliyev, the Ahmedov brothers, Yusup Japarov, Magomed Kadiyev and Zubair Mutayev. They are suspected of murdering the Acting Chief Investigator of the Sovetsky District of Makhachkala, Arsen Gajibekov, and organizing a terrorist attack at the Moskva Trade and Recreation Complex in Kaspiysk.Amirov and Japarov had earlier been sentenced to 10 and 8.5 years of jail respectively for plotting an assassination of Sagid Murtazaliyev, the head of the Pension Fund of Dagestan and a well-known Russian wrestler. They were planning to shoot down his plane with an anti-missile system.
