G7 meeting starts in Lubeck

A meeting of foreign ministers of Germany, Britain, Italy, Canada, USA, France and Japan has started in the German city of Lubeck.


It is expected that the sides will discuss the Ukrainian crisis, the prospects for the development of relations with Russia, talks on Iran's nuclear program, and preparations for the G7 summit that will take place in Bavaria on June 7-8.US Secretary of State John Kerry hasn't arrived at the summit yet, he will join his colleagues only later on April 15.Germany is the current chairman of the G7. Before the opening of the meeting German foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier drew attention to the fact that "this type of crisis management is something that will probably be normal in the coming months and years."
