On Monday, a meeting between Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan took place, Trend
reports, citing CNN Turk. The meeting is taking place around the
summit on nuclear safety organized by the White House. The two leaders
met in the Congress building in the centre of Washington. Ahmet
Davutoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister, and Edward Nalbandian, an advisor
of Turkey's Foreign Service, and Vygen Sargsyan, Assistant Secretary
to the Armenian President, were present at the meeting. Depending on
the results, Turkish and Armenian relations may or may not improve.
This evening the presidents of Armenia and the USA, Serzh Sargsyan and
Barack Obama, will hold a meeting in Washington. Before the meeting,
Serzh Sargsyan will lay flowers at the grave of Woodrow Wilson, US
President during World War I. Sargsyan will also meet US Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton. This evening Sargsyan is invited to an official
dinner with Barack Obama. On 13th April the president of Armenia will
participate in the summit on nuclear safety.
