President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed further strengthening of bilateral strategic cooperation, the development of cooperation on a wide range of issues in Astana.
"Nursultan Nazarbayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have considered ways of deepening relations in the trade, economic, investment, industrial, transit transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres," the press service of Kazakhstan said.
The heads of the two states have also reviewed topical aspects on the international and regional agenda.
President Nazarbayev noted that under the leadership of Erdogan Turkey has made great progress. "It ranks 16th in the world in terms of economic performance. I am sure that your visit will contribute to the transition of our relations to a new level," the President of Kazakhstan said.
The President of Turkey, in his turn, expressed his gratitude for Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to Turkey last year and his attendance at the inauguration ceremony.
