German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said at a meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart Linas Linkevicius in Lithuania that banning pluralism of opinions in the EU was not an efficient instrument, TASS reports.
The German diplomat noted that the diversity of information sources helped avoid biased evaluations.
The Lithuanian radio and television blocked RTR-Planeta TV for three months on Monday for promotion of discord and warmongering. Linkevicius said that banning the channel was lawful.
