The Chechen commission on blood feud reconciliation has managed to settle 109 blood feuds, Adam Delimkhanov, a deputy of the Russian State Duma and deputy chairman of the reconciliation commission, said at a meeting with Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov, Yuga.ru reports.
Delimkhanov said that 7 of the conflicts had a long history. The sides refused to forgive each other, even under pressure from authoritative religious figures. But the commission managed to find solutions.
Delimkhanov also said that the total number of blood feud cases rose to 130, with 109 of them resolved.
Ramzan Kadyrov thanked the families that agreed to reconciliation.
