Ministers of Caspian countries to hold pollution discussions in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan will host a meeting of ministers of the Caspian countries to prepare a program to protect the Caspian Sea from pollution, Muhammed Javad Muhammedizade, Iranian Vice-President and head of the ecological organization said, IRNA reports.


The Caspian countries have signed 4 agreements to protect the Caspian Sea from pollution, Muhammedizade said.


He said that Kazakhstan will discuss documents on preventing pollution from oil extraction waste.


Muhammedizade expressed hope that the documents will help minimize sea pollution in the next 5 to 10 years.
