The new Vietnamese ambassador to Azerbaijan has presented his credentials to Ilham Aliyev.
Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, met with Nguyen Thanh Sean, appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Azerbaijan. At the meeting Ilham Aliyev received credentials from the diplomat.
Ilham Aliyev positively evaluated his trip last year to Vietnam. The President also said that relations between the countries are at an excellent level and expressed confidence that Nguyen Thanh Sean, in his turn, will help to expand and strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese diplomat conveyed greetings and wishes from his Vietnamese colleague Truong Tan Sang and pointed out that Vietnam is ready for cooperation. The ambassador also underlined that they were happy when Ilham Aliyev arrived their country. Nguyen Thanh Sean added that they remember Heydar Aliyev, first president of Azerbaijan, and his contribution to the development of the country,Trend reports.
