Israel has changed its mind about sending a delegation headed by the Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Sofa Landwehr, to the celebration of Victory Day in Moscow, Haaretz reports.
According to the publication, Tel Aviv had planned till Thursday evening that the country would be represented by a more high-ranking official than the US or the EU delegates.
But the issue was later re-examined. Now the delegation will be headed by Israeli Ambassador to Russia Dorit Golender.
It is possible that this move is linked to Russia's decision to supply Iran with S-300 missile defense systems, Gazeta.ru reports.
