Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during an interview to Russian radio stations Sputnik, Ekho Moskvy and Govorit Moskva that the deliveries of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran don’t violate the balance of power in the region.
“Those who still want to strike at Iran will most likely think at least twice before doing it,” he noted.
The Russian Foreign Minister also stressed that neither Moscow nor Tehran need a Russian-Iranian military alliance. "We have received no proposals from the Iranian side. This is unrealistic and unnecessary," Lavrov stressed.
