Militant killed in Dagestan's Derbent

A powerful explosion was prevented on Friday during a special operation in the Dagestani town of Derbent, the National Antiterrorism Committee said, RIA Novosti reports.

Tpecial forces of the Federal Security Services and of the Ministry for Interior Affairs of Russia surrounded a private house with "an armed member of a religious extremist group" inside.

As a result of the special operation, the militant was killed.
