Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev's book presented in London

The presentation of the English edition of the book by the head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, 'Nagorno Karabakh: History Read Through Sources' has been held in London.

The Azerbaijani ambassador to the UK, Tahir Tagizade, provided an insight into the book, noting that “the history of Azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh region, the history of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were analysed in the edition,” AzerTAc reports.

Stressing the scholarly importance of the book, the diplomat said that the edition covered events that occurred in the Caucasus region, as well as facts about the regional countries' relations with each other, and aggression against Azerbaijani territories.

He noted that injustice has been continuing there over the years, and settlement of the conflict is very important. So the negotiating process, solving problems, and imparting all these realities to the next generation should be continued.

On the activity of academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, Mr. Tagizade said the author has analysed the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict from the political and scientific points of view.

The event brought together local and foreign scientific figures as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Russian ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko and international human rights lawyer Kamran Balayev.
