Iraq will need the Turkish army’s help to fight the militants of Islamic State, Iraq’s President Fuad Masum said today in Turkey, where he will be taking part in festivities marking the anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Canakkale, CNN Turk reports.
According to him, it is expected that a battle for the strategic city of Mosul will start in autumn, Trend reports.
Earlier, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it is necessary to start a ground operation against Islamic State.
