President Dmitry Medvedev in honor of the summit conversed with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev reports RIA Novosti citing Natalya Timakova, the Russian President's spokesman.
"During the informal conversation the leaders discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the most topical aspects of international agenda," Timakova said.
Heads of Russia and Kazakhstan arrived in Washington in order to participate in the two-day summit on nuclear safety, initiated by U.S. President Barack Obama in April 2009 in Prague.
