The Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin, said at the academic conference ‘World War I 100 years after’ in Istanbul that stability in the Eurasian Region and neutralization of such hotspots as Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya was only possible through understanding of the historic lessons learnt from the two world wars, TASS reports.In Narushkin’s opinion, realization of the dangers of inter-ethnic and inter-religious tensions and xenophobia will be helpful.The Duma speaker is visiting Turkey on April 22-24 within the framework of meetings dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Dardanelles Operation.
