US Secretary of State John Kerry said at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov yesterday that US-conducted drills of the Ukrainian National Guards were of a defensive nature and initiated by the Ukrainian side, Gazeta.ru reports.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier commented on the arrival of the US military to training grounds in Lviv as a violation of the Minsk Agreements.
