Markin: Investigative Committee has started checking the case of a special operation in Grozny

The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation , Vladimir Markin, said that the main Investigation Department of the ICR in the North Caucasian Federal District held a procedural verification in connection with the April 19th events which took place  in Chechnya.

"For a detailed study of the events in the Chechen Republic in connection with the special operation carried out by the police of Stavropol Territory on April 19 and the temporary operational groups and units of the Russian Interior Ministry, the Central Investigation Department of the North Caucasus Federal District held a procedural check. According to its results, an appropriate decision will be taken," Interfax quotes him as saying.

Yesterday the Chechen Interior Ministry reported that the Investigation Department of the ICR in the Chechen Republic has initiated a criminal case under Art. 286, para. 3 of the Criminal Code "on abuse by law enforcement officials conducting a special operation, duties that resulted in serious consequences in the form of the death of Djabrail  Dadaev."
