The militants of the West African terrorist organization Boko Haram have officially changed their name. Now the Nigerian terrorist group is officially called the West African Province of Islamic State" (Iswap), the Independent reports.
Terrorist leader Abubakar Shekay took an oath of loyalty to IS in the name of Boko Haram in March, but after that the Nigerian group continued to release statements under their official name – the Society of Adherents of Spreading the Teachings of the Prophet and Jihad, Intefax reports.
