Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told IRNA that sanctions against Iran should be removed immediately after the signing of an agreement on its nuclear program.
"We've said from the beginning that agreement and sanctions do not go with each other, and according to the framework we reached in Lausanne the sanctions should be lifted simultaneously with the implementation of agreements," TASS cited him as saying.
The Iranian diplomat added that Tehran is waiting for Washington's clarification of the approval of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations of the bill giving the right to the US Congress to review a possible nuclear deal with Iran. "We expect to hear clear explanations from the American officials on internal disputes and their probable role in the implementation of a nuclear agreement," Zarif noted.
"The US government is responsible for the implementation of any agreement signed by the country. In accordance with international obligations, the internal problems of the country do not release it from their execution. US domestic woes do not concern us," the Minister said.
