US Senator from Arizona John McCain said that the EU countries are “desperately” looking for ways to ease Western sanctions against Russia.
"They are still desperately looking for ways how to ease sanctions against Russia," RIA Novosti cited McCain as saying.
The EU will not keep to a united position with the US over the sanctions, as the union has never kept and will never keep a single trans-Atlantic sanction regime until it loses its dependence on Russian resources, he added.
