The head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Rashid Temrezov, has met with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko. They discussed economic issues and the social sector of the region, prospects of agricultural development and food prices, Interfax reports.
According to Temrezov, support for local manufacturers and supplying them with high-quality food is one of the main priorities of the regional authorities. Temrezov said that weekend markets were regularly organized to allow locals to buy a wide range of products at reasonable prices. In his words, the republican government is stabilizing food prices.
