Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed the governors of the country’s regions, as well as the cities of Astana and Almaty. He signed the corresponding decree today.
By another decree, Nazarbayev appointed Nurlan Nigmatulin as the head of the presidential administration.
Under the laws of the country, after the newly elected president takes office, authorities of the government, the heads of regions, as well as the state bodies, directly subordinate and accountable to the president, were terminated, TASS reports.
