Georgia’s Honorary Consulate opens in Jerusalem

An Honorary Consulate of Georgia has opened in Jerusalem. The opening ceremony was attended by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Levan Gurgenidze, and other high officials from Foreign Ministries, the press service of the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.


"We deepen our relations bilaterally and internationally on a daily basis. A clear example of this is establishing visa free travel between Georgia and Israel,” Lieberman said.


Georgia’s Honorary Consul in Israel will be Yigal Amedi.
