A Victory Park has opened at the motorized infantry brigade of the Southern Military District of Vladikavkaz to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Great Victory, Yuga.ru reports.
The park consists of an alley dedicated to 17 heroes of the Soviet Union, an alley of 24 heroes of the Russian Federation, and a Glory Alley dedicated to 411 soldiers of the brigade killed in local wars.
Commanders of the military district, officials of public organizations, veterans of WWII and local military conflicts attended the opening ceremony. They observed modern military vehicles, watched performances of the reconnaissance company, tried soldiers' food and watched fireworks.
