Akira Muto, the Japanese special representative for Central Asia and the Caucasus, said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be settled according to resolutions of the UN Security Council, Trend reports.
The diplomats discussed cooperation in the sectors of energy, agriculture and high technologies and exchanged opinions about cooperation within the GUAM+Japan format. Mammadyarov emphasized the importance of visits to Baku in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Japan.
