Psychiatrist Dr. Alexander Niss has testified that the Boston Marathon blast suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnayev's father, Anzor Tsarnayev, had been treated for post-trauma stress disorder in 2003-2005 caused by the Chechen conflict in the 1990s, Interfax reports.
The witness assures that both parents of Tsarbayev had mental illnesses.
On April 8, the jury declared Tsarnayev guilty of 30 charges. They are now deciding whether to sentence the terrorist to death or life imprisonment. 21-year-old Tsarnayev denies guilt.
