The Tbilisi City Court has declined the appeal for release of Tbilisi ex-Mayor Giorgi Ugulava and left him in detention, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
His lawyer reminded that the law did not allow detention for over 9 months of remand. The extension of his detention was motivated by new charges pressed against the suspect. The lawyer insists that the new charge is nothing but a reformulation of the old charges.
