Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a conference 'European integration. Lessons of the Second World War and its contemporary significance' in Gdansk that Kiev was fully backing the Minsk Agreements and admitted that the agressor continued strengthening its forces in Donbas, RIA Novosti reports.
Poroshenko noted that the world had been in a fragile state in 1939 and was in a similar situation in 2015. He urged the EU to consolidate in order to prevent repetition of the WWII tragedy.
The Ukrainian president called his nation heroic and thanked world leaders who decided to skip the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow.
