Margvelashvili awards Order of Honor to 12 veterans

By decision of Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, 12 Georgian citizens, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, have been awarded with the Order of Honor - one of the highest state awards of the country. The award ceremony was held yesterday in Tbilisi at the Palace of the President of Georgia during the reception of a large group of veterans.

Those 12 veterans, as reported by the presidential press service, "were honored for their contribution to the victory over fascism and for their achievements for the veterans' movement." The President of Georgia personally awarded them the Order of Honor. At the ceremony, he said: "I congratulate everyone on the Day of Victory over fascism, admire all the veterans, all those who contributed to the victory over fascism."
