The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Marzieh Afham, has described Saudi Arabia’s military operation in Yemen as an act of genocide.
"The air strikes dealt by Saudi Arabia in Yemen, and in particular the bombing of densely populated residential areas in the northern part of the country are an act of genocide, which is implemented contrary to all international standards,’’ TASS cites him.
In addition, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry also urged the UN to take more effective measures to protect people and provide supplies of humanitarian aid.
