The Yemeni authorities have expressed satisfaction with the positive response from Houthi militants from the Ansar Allah religious tribal group to a five-day humanitarian ceasefire proposed by Saudi Arabia, an official representative of the Yemeni cabinet, Rajeh Badi, said.
"We welcome any truce – however, based on our experience with them, the Houthis do not respect any agreements," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
"We would like them (Houthi militants) to be honest and to show more confidence in the provision of humanitarian assistance to areas under their control," Badi explained.
