US Secretary of State John Kerry has clarified that he had discussed Ukraine, Iran, Syria and other topics at meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports.
Kerry emphasized the importance of open talks between the US and Russia in solving outstanding global problems.
Putin and Kerry started their talks at 5.00pm. It has become Putin's first meeting with a US representative since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis.
