Catherine Ashton shoked by attack on Chechen parliament

The EU's diplomacy chief, Catherine Ashton, shocked by the attack on the Chechen parliament in Grozny, pledged on Tuesday to strengthen cooperation with Russia to fight international terrorism, RIA Novosti reports, citing Ashton’s press-secretary, Maja Kocijancic.

"No circumstances can justify the use of terrorist violence and suicide attacks," said the European Union's High Representative for foreign affairs and security, who said she was shocked by the terrorist attack.
