The Russian State Duma has declined the communists' request to hold an inquiry into the acts of Anatoly Serdyukov during his tenure as the defense minister. The committee for constitutional legislature and nation-building found no subject of inquiry, TASS reports.
Only 199 out of the 226 votes needed were cast. 35 MPs voted against, 1 abstained.
