Armenia is interested in developing ties with Serbia, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic, who is on a visit to Yerevan to take part in the Council of Europe forum, News Armenia reports, citing the president's press-service.

Sargsyan expressed hope that the sides will come to agreements, improve cultural ties, stimulate business for active contacts and discuss cooperation opportunities.

The president recalled that they had a good opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest during the visit of Serbian President Boris Tadic to Armenia.

The Serbian minister emphasized that the ties between the two countries have good history and agreed with Sargsyan that both countries should build for the future and not just talk about the past.
