Turkish premier arrives in Finland

Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in the Finnish capital Helsinki, Trend reports, citing Anadolu.


The premier is assisted by the State Minister and head of Turkey's negotiations with the EU, Egemen Bagysh. The sides will discuss Turkish membership in the EU. Finland welcomes Turkey as a member of EU.


It is the first visit of a Turkish premier to Finland in 32 years. Erdogan will meet his Finnish counterpart Mari Kiviniemi, TRT reports.


The premier will also have talks with President Tarja Halonen and Parliamentary Speaker Sauli Niinisto.
