Grigory Karasin, Russian secretary of state and deputy foreign minister, said that it was too early to draw conclusions about the meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland, TASS reports.
Karasin clarified that the Russian president had ordered that executives establish contacts to discuss settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. He added that Russia was trying to find a way to avoid new exacerbations in Donetsk and Luhansk.
