It is the third day of the opposition protest in Skopje led by the Social Democrat Zoran Zaev.
Its members are demanding that Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski step down. They accuse Gruevski of worsening the socio-economic situation in the country, criminality and corruption, as well as claiming that the results of the last parliamentary elections in the country in April 2014 had been falsified.
The head of the government rejects these accusations, claiming that Zaev wants to come to power illegally. The protest began on Sunday, and Zoran Zaev addressed his colleagues with an appeal not to disperse until the resignation of the Cabinet. The number of participants of the protest varies. Yesterday there were about 90 thousand people during the day, and only a few dozen activists at night. The protest has been held without any incident, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the deputy head of the Editorial Council of Vestnik Kavkaza, the Director General of the Institute for Caspian Cooperation, Sergey Mikheyev, we are dealing with a "regular two-move problem." "The Albanian KLA, which is linked to the United States, in particular, the Americans helped it in the struggle for Kosovo, is organizing provocations. Against the background of this provocation, other people, who are also linked to the Americans, the local opposition, accused the authorities of failing to solve the country's problems, and tried to organize a political crisis, demanding the resignation of the government and so on," the expert said.
