Jaba Ebanoidze, an ex-deputy justice minister and ex-head of the Income Service of Georgia, has refused to join the Justice Ministry of Ukraine, stating that he did not want to be a scapegoat, TASS reports.
According to Ebanoidze, he was offered to join the ministry in December 2014 and become the head of the State Registration Service. The appointment would require naturalization in Ukraine. It was announced in mid-January that the Service would be disbanded. Ebanoidze was later offered to join a new department as an unauthoritative member. Overall, the official declined the post in February 2015.
