The presidium of South Ossetia has appointed the president's candidate, Atsamaz Bichenov, the Minister of Justice, as the Chairman of the Supreme Court on October 19, Res reports.
On October 20 the parliament will hold a session.
Atsamaz Ivanovich Bichenov was born on 19 April 1974 in Tskhinvali and left School Number 2 with a gold medal. In 1992 he started studies at the law department of the State University of Kursk. In 1998 he became the leading specialist at the Ministry of Justice of South Ossetia-Alania. In 2003 he had post-graduate studies at the Russian Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice.
He was appointed the head of parliament affairs department in South Ossetia in February 2005. From July 2005 to October 2008 he was the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court. On October 1, 2008 he became the minister of justice.
