Russia may shift parliamentary polls to September

The Russian State Duma plans to shift the parliamentary polls from December to the second Sunday of September. Yuri Shuvalov, the head of the PR section of the State Duma, confirmed the plans and clarified that the initiative had not been documented and was only a matter of talks. The Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Of Russia (LDPR), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, noted that United Russia, A Fair Russia and the communists would not mind the shift. The politician added that lawmakers could initiate an early dissolution of parliament, entailing off-year elections, RBC and the Russian News Service report.
