Ingush President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov is confident that one of the terrorists' goals was destabilization of the situation in the region, Yuga.ru reports.
Militants attacked the Chechen parliament on October 19.
Yevkurov said that the Chechen authorites, under the supervision of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, took measures minimizing the chances of the terrorists achieving their goals.
President Yevkurov expressed his condolences to the victims of the attack.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that militants broke into the territory of the parliament at the same time as the cars of deputies. One militant blew himself up. The other two broke into the building. Ramzan Kadyrov was supervising the counter-terrorist operation.
Two police officers and the administrative manager were killed. 17 people were injured, 6 of them law-enforcers and 11 civilians. All the militants were killed.
