Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said today that US authorities figured that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was irreplaceable, RIA Novosti reports.
He explained that the territory of Syria would be taken over by extremists, terrorists and ISIS without Assad and turned into Somalia or Libya.
According to Bogdanov, the US admitted losing too much time understanding how to realize the Geneva Communique.
