Hurriyet to pay $7,500 for insulting Turkish president

The Hurriyet paper will pay a compensation of about $7,500 for an article published in August 2014 accusing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.


Judge Selma Durdu has fined the chairman of the board of directors of Hurriyet, Dogan Sabanci, and the author of the article, Mehmet Yilmaz.
